My Hitachi Magic Wand... a love letter

When I first started planning my “blogging comeback” a made a list of toys that would be perfect to review. What was on that list varied from couples toys, bullets, dildo vibrators, and all sorts of other fun stuff. In the end, I decided to go with the the grandmother of all things that give pleasure... the Hitachi Magic Wand!!!! (In my head there was an “announcer's” echo as I typed that out).

When I first brought home The Magic Wand, which I have named Butch and will refer to it as such from now on, I was so excited that I almost couldn’t get it out of the packaging fast enough so that I can take it out for a “drive”. I closed my blinds, plugged Butch in, laid down on the bed and was about to go to town when I turned it on and realized why it has received all of the accolades it has. The intensity of the motor was exceedingly titillating, but the deafening  sound of the motor made me really self-cautious. I seriously felt like my neighbors could hear what I was doing. I turned on some music, to mask the sound of the motor, but I still couldn’t stop thinking about it. I began to imagine how embarrassing it would be if I was using it at night (which is my favorite time to handle my needs, before going to bed), and my landlord, whose bedroom is atop of mine, could hear what I was doing. After ten minutes of using Butch, and these thoughts going through my head, I finally came. The experience wasn’t bad, but I couldn’t get over the loudness of the motor. I was used to vibrators that are really quite, and ones in which the packaging boasts about the lack of noise.

Two weeks pass, and every time I use Butch I try to muffle the sound with pillows, blankets and by having the television on. But then, one day, when I was sitting at home and could hear my landlord having sex, I realized that I don’t really care if he could hear me. Since then, my experience with Butch has gotten a lot better. Now I don’t need to use it for ten minutes before I cum, I’m right around the five minute mark at the moment.

The entire time, during the first two weeks of using Butch, I wasn’t really judging the effectiveness of the Wand to bring me to orgasm; I was judging the sound it made and was over thinking about it so much that it was preventing me from enjoying this amazing toy. The vibrations are exceedingly powerful, even on the low setting, which I don’t believe in because I either go big or don’t use it at all. Either way, I have finally come to appreciate the power of this toy, and I also fully agree that it deserves every single accolade it has received thus far.

Now for the nitty gritty details:
The Magic Wand measures 12.5 inches, and weighs about 1 / 1.5 lbs. What I love most about the Magic Wand is how I never have to worry about batteries, whether it’s replacing them or recharging them. You plug this amazing toy to the wall and just turn it on and bask in all its glory. There are two settings to the Magic Wand, High and Low, and the head of the wand is designed for external use, on the cllitoris. Although, I guess if you want, one can potentially insert it, but I don’t recommend doing so unless you put a condom over the Wand.

The head of the wand is made of what appears to be a leather type of material, or it can just be soft plastic, which are both porous. If you are going to use one of these on your lady parts please make sure that you ALWAYS put a condom over it. No matter how much you clean it, it will never be clean enough to place over your vulva, unless you boil the top clean, which I’m sure you will not want to do unless you want to risk potentially throwing away $60. I opted to purchase a silicone Pop Top (pictured below with my wand), which is cheaper than constantly purchasing condoms (unless you always just grab a handful of condoms from your local gay bar as I have).

The Pop Top did muffle some of the vibrations, though. If you don't require such a high intensity in vibrations as yours truly, then I think that anyone with a Wand should go to their local toy store and purchase one of those bad boys. They come in three different colors, and each color has a different texture; ridged, knob-ly, and smooth. It is designed to have a snug fit over the head of your wand, so putting it on at first might take a few minutes, but taking it on and off to clean it gets easier. Also, it helps to prevent wear and tear on the top of your wand.

Pros:
- No batteries required
- Strong vibrations
- Can be used for other areas, like lower back (I have tons of lower back pains)

Cons:
- Loud
- Top is made of porous material and requires a condom or purchase of a silicone top
- A foot long

Honestly, those cons aren't even a big deal, even the loudness of the wand. The Hitachi Magic Wand gets a very long awaited "DilDo" from me. I'm so glad I decided to buy this great toy.

Until next time, stay excited!

Women Penetrating Women

Before I begin with this week's blog post, I want to just let all the readers know that next week's post will be a very intimate post for me, and it will be posted on the blog on Saturday. So keep don't fret if you don't see it until the weekend.

Additionally, I have now added a "Donate" button on the blog (on the upper right hand side of the website), for anyone that would like to contribute to the blog. I intend to use the funds for future toys to review. Now onto today's post.

**************************

Last month, on my "Sex with Women" post, a reader asked: "How do two women engage in sexual intercourse?" I promised to respond to this question with a blog post, so here it is.

When I read that comment, the first thing that came to mind was the scene in "Chasing Amy" where Alyssa, played by Joey Lauren Adams, explains to Holden, played Ben Affleck, how two women can have sex. Holden's problem came with his lack of understanding how a woman can penetrate another woman, therefore thinking that two women can't REALLY have sex. I think that it's quite possible for some men to believe this, and believe that just because a woman has never been with another man that she's still a virgin. Then the question becomes, what is the definition of a woman losing her virginity? In all sincerity, this could just mean the first time you are penetrated by a partner, whether it be with a male bodied partner and their penis, or a female bodied partner and their fingers/hands.

There's a common misconception that a woman loses her virginity when her hymen breaks. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are a lot of young girls and women who don't have intact hymens and whom have never had any kind of sexual intercourse. Due to how active young girls and women are, it's quite easy for a girl to tear her hymen, but this doesn't mean that she's not still a virgin. When I lost my virginity (the first time I had a phallus penetrate my vagina) I didn't bleed. I had already broken my hymen a while ago; I think it was when I was younger and horseback riding. But I digress from the original question.

Aside from fingers and hands, women can penetrate other women with their tongues and with a strap-on. Some lesbian couples go to adult toy stores together to purchase toys to penetrate each other with; this practice is quite common. I've had a few conversations with men that don't understand this; why would two lesbians want to have sex with a strap-on? Why don't they just have sex with someone that has the real thing? Well, this is quite simple; because women don't "love" penis, or any other form of phallus. What they love is the person it's attached to; and this goes for pretty much all women, not just lesbians. The act of penetration, whether it be from a dildo or the real thing, is what's intimate, not the actual phallus itself.

Furthermore, to love someone is a form of penetration, and for some women, this is the important type of penetration. If I am with a woman and we love each other, and we're having sex but are not physically penetrating each other, that doesn't mean that when we're performing other forms of love-making we're still not penetrating each other in some way. Hopefully this has been insightful.

Until next time, stay excited!

Porn Myths

Hello readers! First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of a post last week. Unfortunately, I had to take care of some issues that had to be prioritized over the blog. Fortunately, though, all of that has been taken care of. And now, onto today's post.

Something that I have run into, and continue to run into, is people thinking that "porn" sex is the same as "real" sex, so this week's blog post is dedicated to debunking some of those Porn Myths.

I know that most of us use porn as a resource for learning a few new moves and tricks. I agree, there are a few things that porn can help us with, particularly if one is not inventive or spontaneous during sex, but not everything should be taken for granted when watching porn.

  • Oral Sex: Just flicking the tip of your tongue on a woman's clitoris will make a woman reach an orgasm.
    • FALSE!!! The clitoris requires quite a bit of pressure that the tip of the tongue cannot provide. Pushing one's tongue flat against the clitoris is what feels best, but because it doesn't look the prettiest on screen it is not shown in porn films, plus it's hard to film that.
  • Dirty Talk: During sex you can say whatever you want to get the mood going. If you want to call your partner a dirty slut, whore, bitch, etc., feel free to do so, it will turn her on.
    • FALSE!!! Never call a woman a slut, whore or a bitch, unless she has explicitly stated that she likes, or doesn't mind, being called these words. This is where communication comes into play. Some women don't like the dirty talk, they would prefer a bit of sweet talking during sex, or no talking, but if you don't communicate with your partner you will never know what they like, or what some of the "no-no" words may be.
  • Oral Sex After Penetration: Women love sucking on a penis or dildo that was just inside of them.
    • FALSE!!! Although a woman should know what they taste like, for health reasons, some women are not into tasting themselves, just like most men don't care to taste their own semen. Also, if a penis or dildo was in a woman's anus she should DEFINITELY not lick that because of bacteria that they might ingest.
  • Going Back and Forth Between the Anus and Vagina: You can go back and forth between the anus and vagina during intercourse.
    • HUGE FALSE!!! The women in the porn films in which this occurs have their anal cavity THOROUGHLY, or at least one would hope so, cleaned out (not to mention that it's also pre-stretched prior to shooting the anal sex scenes). Never EVER go back to front on a woman, whether it be with a penis, finger, dildo, or some other toy. There is bacteria, lots of bacteria, in the anal cavity, and this bacteria is definitely "no bueno". Now, if you switch up the condoms, after going into the anus, THEN you can go back into the vagina.
  • Anal Sex Doesn't Require Much Lube: Just a bit of spit can go a long way. Also, it's not necessary to play with a girl's clitoris during anal sex, just the anal penetration will get a girl off.
    • FALSE!!! When it comes to anal sex, lube is your best friend. Even with people that have a lot of anal sex need some lube to initially ease anything in the anus. Also, if you're a male and you're having anal sex with a female partner, please make sure to not forget to go for a little reach-around clitoral play.
Those were the "big" myths that I could think of at the moment. If anyone of you can think of others please feel free to share them in the comments section.

Until next time, stay excited!

My New Vibrator, My New Paper Weight

Before I begin, I would like to give all of you owners of both adult toys and dogs a bit of advice; make sure that you put your toys, particularly your favorite ones, out of your pooch's reach. I'm usually really good about putting toys away after I have washed them, but a few weeks ago I left my Smart Balls out on top of my "toy" chest and my dog, Ginger, discovered them, since it was at an accessible height for her, and decided to make them her new chew toy. I came home after work to find one of the balls had been chewed open and the weight that goes inside was nowhere to be found (and I wasn't about to start checking my dog's poop for it).

Fortunately, the Smart Balls are relatively inexpensive, so I don't mind replacing them, but it's still annoying. So remember, dogs love toys that are chewy, so silicone adult toys are just silicone dog toys to them. Keep your toys in a drawer(s), plastic bin, chest, padlocked safe, or anywhere that a dog can't open up and get to them. Now on to this month's review!

*************

Today I'll be reviewing the Goddess Dual Clitoral and G-Spot Stimulator by Blush Novelties.

After a night of partying with a friend that was visiting from out of town, I came home and noticed I had a package waiting for me on my doorstep. I was pleasantly surprised and knew right away what was waiting for me in the package. I decided to leave the package unopened and went to bed; after all, it WAS three in the morning. When day-time came, and my dog decided it was time to wake me up so that we could go out for her morning walk, I opened up the package and took out my new pink vibrator. At first touch I was already really exciting, mainly because the feel of the silicone was really smooth and pleasant to the touch. Even my out-of-town friend agreed that it felt nice as she briefly examined the toy. Unfortunately, though, I had to wait a couple of nights before I would get a chance to try out this new toy. As much as I love my friend, I don't think that she would have appreciated me using the toy in my studio apartment while she was staying with me.

After my friend left, and the suspense had been sufficiently built up, I finally got a chance to spend the night with my new friend. I lubed up the head of the toy and went to town. The Goddess has seven different vibrating functions, all controlled by one button that's close to the clitoral stimulator. After about two minutes of using the toy, I realized that it wasn't really doing anything for me. I thought that it was possible that I just wasn't "turned on" and needed to watch some porn to assist with getting in the mood. After a short while of watching some porn, I quickly realized that the lack of porn was not the issue. I played with the various vibration settings, and still nothing. I quickly realized that the vibrations were just not strong enough. The shaft of the toy vibrates nicely, but the head, the part that's supposed to be hitting your G-spot, only faintly vibrates. The same thing goes for the clitoral stimulator, the vibrations were just not strong enough. I eventually gave up and decided to bring in another toy into the mix, my handy Layaspot. A few moments after incorporating the new toy, my Goddess DIED!!! Well, it stopped working. I thought that it was probably the batteries, so I just took them out and put them back in and it started working again. But this revival was short lived, a few minutes later the Goddess stopped working for a second time. At this point I decided to give up and give this toy another go on another occasion.

About a week passed before I decided to try out the Goddess again. Unfortunately, this second time around, even with my low expectations, was still a poor experience. After about 15 minutes of using the toy it stopped working, again, and realized that the motor was getting over worked. I stopped and decided to just finish myself off with my Rabbit. I don't know if I'll really be using this toy much more, aside from just using it as a paper weight, but I know that it's not a good solo toy, and due to the thickness of the shaft, it's not really a good partner toy when being penetrated vaginally. Now, if you want to get penetrated anally while the Goddess is inside you, then it MIGHT be an alright toy, but I have yet to try that out.

All in all, the Goddess Dual Clitoral and G-Spot Stimulator by Blush Novelties sadly gets a "DilDon't" from yours truly. Now, if you don't require strong vibrations, then this toy might work for you, but it did not for me. The good thing about this toy, though, is that it was a fairly inexpensive toy, so not much of an investment was made on my new paper weight.

Until next time, stay excited!

My "Best" Anal Sex Experience

Before I start writing about my "best" anal sex experience, I need to warn my readers that all of these events took place at a New Years Eve party, meaning that I was pretty inebriated. After everything was done and over with, I managed to piece most of what happened that night together, but not perfectly, so there might be a bit of inaccurate recounting of the story, but not on purpose.

December 31, 2006, a friend of mine, JC, along with his roommates, was having a big New Years Eve bash, and I have never been one to turn down a potentially awesome party, so I was in attendance with a case of beer in tow. The night started like most typical college parties I would go to commonly would; arrive and greet everyone I know with a hug and kiss, grab some alcohol, drink it way too fast, grab another drink and consume that one at a reasonable pace, all the while I talk to friends or make new friends with some of the other party goers. The music that was being played was lively and I found my self dancing most of the night to salsa, cumbia, merengue, Spanish rock, hip-hop. If I remember correctly, there was also a bit of live music being played by some friends who had formed a band, so this meant even more dancing.

After a lot of drinking and a lot of dancing, I got exceedingly horny. Earlier that night I had managed to drunkenly bond with my friend JCs uncle, who was in his late 20s/early 30s (I think), so I had a target for my end of the night debauchery. Once midnight hit, and I made out with a friend to ring in 2007, and then I proceeded to pounced on my "victim." We started off with some heavy making out, which then led to me propositioning him for us to "get it on" in the room; his nephew's room. As we started to undress I realized that I had forgotten that I was on my period. "Shit!", I thought out loud. After explaining the situation he said that that wouldn't be a problem for him. Unfortunately, for me it's a bit of a problem, especially in someone else's room. I quickly came to a solution, anal sex.

From what I remember of the actual sex, I definitely enjoyed it. I believe that all of the alcohol allowed for me to relax, while in return allowing him to enter my anus with ease. There was minimal pain involved, and PLENTY of clitoral stimulation, yay! Just so you are all aware, I didn't immediately remember this part of the evening, it sort of came to me with time as I was sobering up and trying to piece together what happened that night. From what I can remember we didn't try too many positions, we mainly stuck to two, doggie and cowgirl, probably reverse cowgirl, but two was all we needed that night. After the deed was done I DESPERATELY needed to use the restroom, and was about to walk out of the room naked. Fortunately, he wasn't as shit-faced-drunk as I was and convinced me to put on my underwear and his shirt prior to walking out of the room. Yes, that's how crazy that night was. Later on, we both got dressed and came back out to the party.

I ended up spending the night at my friend's place, I was in no condition to be driving that night. I woke up on the couch not remembering what had happened that previous night, or at least what happened in the room. One thing I did know, though, was that my anus hurt a bit. After talking to my friends about their recollection of the sequence of events, it dawned on me that I had anal sex and THAT was why my anus was hurting. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I understand how ridiculous that sounds, but I SWEAR that's how I managed to realize what had transpired the previous night. My friends and I laughed it off as I slowly began to remember bits and pieces of that night, and began to recover from my hangover.

Until next time, stay excited!
