My new Swift Anal Plug

Today I will be reviewing my very first anal toy. I'm actually really excited about this because I have been looking forward to reviewing toys that both men and women can enjoy. Although, I am quite aware that the experience a female has with anal toys will not be anything in comparison to that of what a male might experience due to simple anatomy.

When it came to choosing an anal toy, my first thought was "the thinner the toy, the better the joy." I definitely did not want my first anal toy to be intimidating to the point where I would be scared to even attempt to use it. So I went to stores and looked online in order to get an idea of what is out there. I knew that I wanted to try a vibrating anal toy and was fortunate to find one that was a size I knew I could handle; the 100% Silicone Swift Plug.

The Swift Plug measures 4.5 inches (11.4 centemeters), is made of silicone, has a suction cup at the bottom, and vibrates. Of course, as is the case with most battery operated adult toys, batteries are not included and requires two AAA batteries to get this bad boy working. The controler for the plug is actually a dial (which is different from what's shown in the picture above) and appears to have about thee settings which one can distinguish; low, medium, and fast. Now that I've gotten all of the technical stuff out of the way, time to share my thoughts.

After getting this toy, I put off trying it for about a month and a half. As you all know, from my blog posts on my anal sex experiences, I have never really had an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed, just one that was alright, so this made me hesitate trying out this toy. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I decided that I would put all of that behind me (no pun intended) and give the plug a go. One Saturday morning, I woke up, took the dog out for a walk, and hopped into the shower. While in the shower I started thinking about this review that was coming up and started thinking that I had put off trying out this toy for long enough. I got out of the shower, grabbed the plug and the lube, and decided to just go for it. Even though the plug is fairly slim, I knew that I still had to make sure to go slow.

When I first inserted the tip of the toy I could feel my body tense up, not because I caught myself off guard, but because I was still a bit hesitant about trying this toy out. In order to make myself relax I turned on the plug. The vibrations from the plug on my anus felt like a massage, which allowed my body to relax. It took me about five to ten minutes of massaging my anus with the vibrating plug and applying lube before I got the toy all the way in. Once inside, I realized that I was really enjoying this toy. The vibrations were exciting, while the pressure inside my anal cavity allowed for a differnt experience when I used my Rabbit in conjunction with the plug. It didn't take long for me to climax; all of these new sensations sort of brought about a sensory overload. After I was finished, I had to go through the process of taking out the plug. Although I was already relaxed, this required extra lube and about five minutes before I was able to fully extract the plug.

Now, I don't really have any cons for this toy, except for that once it was inside of me, and was using the Rabbit as well, I sort of couldn't feel much of the pressure from the plug. Basically, this toy was a little too thin once it was already inside, but I'm sure that I won't try anything significantly bigger any time soon.

I can honestly say that this is my first positive anal experience; and being the one in control had everything to do with that. The Swift Plug itself could have been bigger, but I only felt that way after the toy was inside of me. Other than that, I feel like this is a great begginer's toy for anyone that's looking to explore having anal sex. With that said, the Swift Plug get's a huge "DilDo" from me!

Until next time, stay excited!

Porn Myths

Hello readers! First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of a post last week. Unfortunately, I had to take care of some issues that had to be prioritized over the blog. Fortunately, though, all of that has been taken care of. And now, onto today's post.

Something that I have run into, and continue to run into, is people thinking that "porn" sex is the same as "real" sex, so this week's blog post is dedicated to debunking some of those Porn Myths.

I know that most of us use porn as a resource for learning a few new moves and tricks. I agree, there are a few things that porn can help us with, particularly if one is not inventive or spontaneous during sex, but not everything should be taken for granted when watching porn.

  • Oral Sex: Just flicking the tip of your tongue on a woman's clitoris will make a woman reach an orgasm.
    • FALSE!!! The clitoris requires quite a bit of pressure that the tip of the tongue cannot provide. Pushing one's tongue flat against the clitoris is what feels best, but because it doesn't look the prettiest on screen it is not shown in porn films, plus it's hard to film that.
  • Dirty Talk: During sex you can say whatever you want to get the mood going. If you want to call your partner a dirty slut, whore, bitch, etc., feel free to do so, it will turn her on.
    • FALSE!!! Never call a woman a slut, whore or a bitch, unless she has explicitly stated that she likes, or doesn't mind, being called these words. This is where communication comes into play. Some women don't like the dirty talk, they would prefer a bit of sweet talking during sex, or no talking, but if you don't communicate with your partner you will never know what they like, or what some of the "no-no" words may be.
  • Oral Sex After Penetration: Women love sucking on a penis or dildo that was just inside of them.
    • FALSE!!! Although a woman should know what they taste like, for health reasons, some women are not into tasting themselves, just like most men don't care to taste their own semen. Also, if a penis or dildo was in a woman's anus she should DEFINITELY not lick that because of bacteria that they might ingest.
  • Going Back and Forth Between the Anus and Vagina: You can go back and forth between the anus and vagina during intercourse.
    • HUGE FALSE!!! The women in the porn films in which this occurs have their anal cavity THOROUGHLY, or at least one would hope so, cleaned out (not to mention that it's also pre-stretched prior to shooting the anal sex scenes). Never EVER go back to front on a woman, whether it be with a penis, finger, dildo, or some other toy. There is bacteria, lots of bacteria, in the anal cavity, and this bacteria is definitely "no bueno". Now, if you switch up the condoms, after going into the anus, THEN you can go back into the vagina.
  • Anal Sex Doesn't Require Much Lube: Just a bit of spit can go a long way. Also, it's not necessary to play with a girl's clitoris during anal sex, just the anal penetration will get a girl off.
    • FALSE!!! When it comes to anal sex, lube is your best friend. Even with people that have a lot of anal sex need some lube to initially ease anything in the anus. Also, if you're a male and you're having anal sex with a female partner, please make sure to not forget to go for a little reach-around clitoral play.
Those were the "big" myths that I could think of at the moment. If anyone of you can think of others please feel free to share them in the comments section.

Until next time, stay excited!

SmartBalls, Keeping Your Vag Strong!

To my readers in the US, Happy Independence Day! To everyone else, Happy Hump Day!

Today I'm going to be reviewing FunFactory's Smartball Teneo Duo. This toy is meant to strengthen your Pubococcygeus muscle (also known as your PC or pelvic floor muscles) by forcing you to contract these muscles and give them a workout. In other words, it assists with you doing your kegel exercises by providing you with something to squeeze.

When I first got my Smartballs I was visiting my mom in Los Angeles and went to a sex shop for a comedy show, after which I decided to purchase a few things. I had been wanting some kegel exercise aides for a while, so I was really excited to buy these. Unfortunately, I had to wait a week before using them since I wasn't about to walk around with them inside of me while I was around my mom. As soon as I got back to Portland, where I was living at the time, I immediately unpacked my Smartballs, washed them with warm water and soap, applied some of the water-based lube that was included on the Smartballs, and then inserted them. I have to admit that I didn't enjoy them being inside me at first. I could feel them in there and if was a bit uncomfortable. I decided to just suck it up, leave them in there, and take my dog to the dog park, which was not a good idea.

While at the park I felt like I could barely walk because the balls were just not working that well for me, and I wasn't sure why. After about a half-hour, I went back home and took them out. As I was pulling the string to get the balls out, I realized that the last ball was not inserted all the way, which probably had a lot to do with my discomfort level. Either way, I sort of was not too happy with them and decided to put them away and get to packing, since I was going to be moving to the Bay area in a few days.

The second time I used my Smartballs, which was a few weeks after my first use, I changed things up a bit. The first thing I did was just insert the first ball. (Side note: FunFactory sells a Teneo Uno SmartBall if you're not planning on ever putting both of the balls in). I allowed my vagina to get accustomed to just having one ball in there while I squeezed my PC muscles. I did this for a bout 20 minutes before calling it a day with the Smartballs. This time, the experience was a lot more pleasant, but I had still not tried putting both balls in. I kept up this one Smartball regimen for about a week straight until I finally decided to woman up and give having both Smartballs in at the same time another try.

My second go at having both Smartballs inside of me went A LOT smoother. I didn't want to overwhelm myself, so I just had them inside for about a half-hour. The entire time I couldn't tell they were in there, but then again I was just sitting at home watching TV. The following day I decided to be a little more bold and wear them while I took the dog out for a walk. I have to say that it was the BEST dog walking experience I have ever had. Because the Smartballs are weighted they move around inside of you as you move, causing you to feel as if they will fall out and forcing your PC muscles to contract. Every now and then I could feel one of the balls hit my G-spot, which would constantly catch me by surprise in the most pleasant of ways.

One day, while I was getting ready to review the Layaspot, I decided to use my Smartballs while masturbating. This experience was stimulation overload. I didn't know why, and I didn't really care why, but my orgasm went everywhere in my body. Just as I was cumming my entire body began to twitch and spasm. Later on I realized that not only do the Smartballs strengthen your PC muscles so that your vagina can "hug" your male bodied partners when they are inside of you, but it also makes you extra sensitive, at least for me. At times I go a few weeks without using the Smartballs, and I have noticed that my orgasms tend to get a less and less powerful as time passes between my last use. Right now I'm trying to build up the courage to wear them while at work. When I do end up doing this I'll be sure to let you all know how that experience goes.

Yes, when I first used the Smartballs they were uncomfortable, and I was sort of turned off from wanting to use them again, but I am now a big believer in the power of the Smartballs and the benefits of kegel exercises. If I would have started this blog months ago I probably would have given this toy a "DilDon't", but with a little patience, and use with other toys, I am now giving this toy a resounding DILDO!!!

A quick caveat before I finish, the Smartballs are not intended for anal play. You should never insert any toys into your anus that does not have a flared end. The string at the end of the Smartballs feels a little too flimsy to me, and if you were to insert the Smartballs into your anus and then the string broke, there's a possibility that you might end up making a bit of an embarrassing trip to the ER in order to get them taken out.

Until next time, stay excited!

My "Best" Anal Sex Experience

Before I start writing about my "best" anal sex experience, I need to warn my readers that all of these events took place at a New Years Eve party, meaning that I was pretty inebriated. After everything was done and over with, I managed to piece most of what happened that night together, but not perfectly, so there might be a bit of inaccurate recounting of the story, but not on purpose.

December 31, 2006, a friend of mine, JC, along with his roommates, was having a big New Years Eve bash, and I have never been one to turn down a potentially awesome party, so I was in attendance with a case of beer in tow. The night started like most typical college parties I would go to commonly would; arrive and greet everyone I know with a hug and kiss, grab some alcohol, drink it way too fast, grab another drink and consume that one at a reasonable pace, all the while I talk to friends or make new friends with some of the other party goers. The music that was being played was lively and I found my self dancing most of the night to salsa, cumbia, merengue, Spanish rock, hip-hop. If I remember correctly, there was also a bit of live music being played by some friends who had formed a band, so this meant even more dancing.

After a lot of drinking and a lot of dancing, I got exceedingly horny. Earlier that night I had managed to drunkenly bond with my friend JCs uncle, who was in his late 20s/early 30s (I think), so I had a target for my end of the night debauchery. Once midnight hit, and I made out with a friend to ring in 2007, and then I proceeded to pounced on my "victim." We started off with some heavy making out, which then led to me propositioning him for us to "get it on" in the room; his nephew's room. As we started to undress I realized that I had forgotten that I was on my period. "Shit!", I thought out loud. After explaining the situation he said that that wouldn't be a problem for him. Unfortunately, for me it's a bit of a problem, especially in someone else's room. I quickly came to a solution, anal sex.

From what I remember of the actual sex, I definitely enjoyed it. I believe that all of the alcohol allowed for me to relax, while in return allowing him to enter my anus with ease. There was minimal pain involved, and PLENTY of clitoral stimulation, yay! Just so you are all aware, I didn't immediately remember this part of the evening, it sort of came to me with time as I was sobering up and trying to piece together what happened that night. From what I can remember we didn't try too many positions, we mainly stuck to two, doggie and cowgirl, probably reverse cowgirl, but two was all we needed that night. After the deed was done I DESPERATELY needed to use the restroom, and was about to walk out of the room naked. Fortunately, he wasn't as shit-faced-drunk as I was and convinced me to put on my underwear and his shirt prior to walking out of the room. Yes, that's how crazy that night was. Later on, we both got dressed and came back out to the party.

I ended up spending the night at my friend's place, I was in no condition to be driving that night. I woke up on the couch not remembering what had happened that previous night, or at least what happened in the room. One thing I did know, though, was that my anus hurt a bit. After talking to my friends about their recollection of the sequence of events, it dawned on me that I had anal sex and THAT was why my anus was hurting. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I understand how ridiculous that sounds, but I SWEAR that's how I managed to realize what had transpired the previous night. My friends and I laughed it off as I slowly began to remember bits and pieces of that night, and began to recover from my hangover.

Until next time, stay excited!

Anal Sex

Anal sex can either be a hit or a miss for most women. I know that for me it was more of a miss, but that didn't stop me from still making an effort to discover the joys in anal sex that some women had managed to encounter. Unfortunately, though, I came short of my anal discovery and have shied away from ever doing it, but might still be willing to give it another go.

Looking back at my anal encounters (I wonder if there’s a porn with that name), I realized that the reason for my dissatisfaction was the way my partners and I had gone about it. I have had anal sex with four different partners, and although they were all different in their sexual techniques, when it came to anal sex they all, with the exception of one, went about it the same way. First, they didn’t ask if we could have anal sex, they just started to slip it in until I stopped them and told them that they were about to go into the wrong hole. They would then stop and, after a short pause, ask if I would let them try to put in my anus. Starting things off in this manner definitely foreshadowed the negative experiences I have had with anal sex.

Aside from first asking if I would be ok with anal sex, one thing that would have probably helped make these encounters a little more pleasurable would have been starting off with a bit of anal foreplay. Probably massaging the anus to loosen it up, and slipping in a finger or two, would have allowed for more loose sphincter muscles, as opposed to just easing the penis in, which tends to be quite a bit bigger than a finger. Another thing that would have made the experience more satisfying would have been to incorporate the use of a small anal toy to get the body used to having something inside the anus, which I intend on buying in order to give anal sex yet another chance.

Other things that men need to understand when engaging in anal sex with a woman is that we women don't have prostrates, which is why it's not always pleasurable. For some women the pleasure comes in how different of a sensation it is, for others it's the position in which she is receiving anal that allows for her G-spot to be stimulated. One tip that I would give to men, aside from making sure that there is PLENTY of lube handy and to never go back into a girl's vagina after inserting the penis in the anus, is to make sure that they are simultaneously stimulating their female partner's clitoris while penetrating the anus (men on men action could probably use an extra tug for the bottom but I'm sure that the penis hitting the prostate is more than enough). The times that I engaged in anal sex there was no clitoral stimulation, and definitely not enough lube, which is another added reason to not enjoying it. Knowing what I do, and learning from my past experiences and mistakes, I feel that I might be ready to give anal sex another go, and I have high hopes for enjoying it. Who knows, I might even write about it. In the meantime, I'll tell you of my best anal sex experience that I have little recollection of... but not until next week's post. ;)

Until next time, stay excited!

Talk Dirty to Me

I know that you have heard it time and time again; communication is the key to a healthy relationship. Well, this could not be truer when it comes to communicating about sex before, during, and after sex. Aside from communicating during sex with “sexy talk”, which can be really hot, the communication that comes before the sex is just as important, especially when it comes to setting boundaries for what you are or are not comfortable doing in the bedroom.

I love rough sex. I’m a fan of just taking it and being told what to do, having my hair pulled, and being spanked and lightly bit. I also love to dirty talk prior to sex in public places; being told what’s going to happen to me and how I’m going to be “punished” is a HUGE turn on and a great form of foreplay. You wouldn’t know this about me just by looking at me, so how do you think that my last few partners knew to do this in order to ensure that I had a very pleasurable sexual experience? I told them about it. I set boundaries for what words they couldn’t use when talking dirty; I’m not a fan of being called a bitch during the sexy talk. My partners also knew that I wasn’t that big of a fan of anal sex, although I’ve been recently reconsidering trying it again, so they never attempted to do it or brought it up. The point I’m making is that communication is the key to a great sexual relationship.

Prior to my now candid nature with my partners about what I enjoy in the bedroom, I would just do the deed and not really bother to let my partner know, neither before nor after sex, what the things that I enjoyed the most were. This was a big mistake on my part because I’m quite the submissive during sex. When a partner would ask me what I wanted to have done to me I would go into “super-freak-out-silence-mode”. Needless to say, it took a while before I was able to communicate during sex. I think that my silence came from not really knowing what I wanted and liked, but also from wanting a partner to just take control and have their way with me, yet I didn’t communicate this. Little by little, though, as the amount of sex I had increased, I began to realize what I liked and that most guys have no clue what a woman really enjoys in bed. But to be fair about that statement, most women want different things.

Talking about sex before you have it is also a great way to explore each other’s wild side, as well as test what boundaries might or might not be ok to cross. I used to sleep with a friend that wanted a finger or two up his butt during oral sex, and he was completely candid about this. I was fine with obliging to his request and it made sex a lot more fun for the both of us. On another occasion, I was sleeping with a guy that liked to pinch my nipples, but before he proceeded to pinch them he asked if it was ok, I told him he could do it but I would let him know when it was too much. During that sexual experience I found out that I like my nipples pinched and bit, but the fact that he asked for permission is what really made that experience hot.

It’s important to note that you should probably not go to your partner and start listing things that you don’t like during sex. Keeping things in a more positive light and giving suggestions for alternative experiences to the ones that you’re not a fan of, that way no one’s ego gets hurt, is probably the best way to go about things. Now, if you tell someone that you would rather they do something else instead of continuing with what they’re doing, but they don’t listen to you, then you should definitely put your foot down and say that you don’t like what they’re doing. Consent is sexy, but if your partner tries to do something that you have said you’re not too keen on doing then you should definitely feel comfortable to say that you do not like something.

To get you started, here are a few things that you should consider talking to your partner about:

 1) Fantasies
 2) Where you like for them to cum (for those with male partners)
 3) Whether or not you like cum in your mouth
 4) Positions you favor
 5) Toys you would like to use during sex
 6) Your thoughts on role playing
 7) Places that you like to have sex (public vs private)
 8) Foreplay
 9) Oral sex
 10) Mutual Masturbation
 11) Anal sex
 12) Bondage or more extreme forms of S&M

These were just a few suggestions, but I'm sure that you all can come up with more. Please feel free to leave your suggestions for topics to talk about with your partners in the comments section, I'm sure other people would appreciate it ;).

Until next time, stay excited!
